The Mercedes brand tends to evoke images of wealth and prestige. The Detroit Autorama was marred last weekend by a leaky roof that spilled salty, rusty water onto several custom cars. The leaks were caused by a combination of heavy precipitation--Detroit has had one of the snowiest winters in recent memory that gave way to an early March rainstorm--which pummeled an aging roof. Water fell to the show floor in six spots, temporarily damaging seven or eight cars.
2012 Honda Civic - it's quiet
As we said on the last story we ran about the 2012 Honda Civic, Honda are taking its launch very seriously, And they’re doing the normal new car tease too, but in a very Honda way. Instead of being lazy and just divvying up a new arty photo of the new Civic once a week for a month, Honda are going the Jaguar XJ school of car teases (just in smaller numbers). Which means proper detail with each tease and some proper thought in the presentation.
